SPRINT project partners meet to discuss first steps of the project

On 27 August, the SPRINT project partners held a follow-up meeting to assess the progress made to date. The meeting, organised by Innovasturias, the project coordinator, brought together representatives of the institutions that are part of the consortium: CREDA (Centro de Investigación en Economía y Desarrollo Agroalimentario), the technology centre ASINCAR, the technology companies Abamobile and CIS Robotics, as well as the companies ARTIEM Hoteles and Masymas.

During the day, a comprehensive analysis of the first progress achieved in the framework of the project was carried out. Among the milestones, the delivery of a coordination plan that facilitates the collaboration and alignment of all partners involved, relevant for the development of the project, was confirmed.

One of the most important points was the confirmation of the presentation by CREDA of a a report on the mapping and assessment of the current situation in relation to food waste. This report included the definition of a theoretical framework and the analysis of factors influencing consumer behaviour with regard to food waste. The document aims to provide a structured basis to guide the planning of project interventions, as well as to facilitate the interpretation of future results.

Project methodology

Following the submission of this inception report, CREDA will focus its efforts on the development of a methodology for co-creation and design of interventions. This participatory process is essential to ensure that the solutions proposed within the SPRINT project respond effectively to the needs identified. The methodology will be ready to be presented to partners from 1 September 2024, and is expected to play a decisive role in the success of the project.

Website and promotional video

On the other hand, crucial details related to the communication and visibility of the project were also finalised during the meeting. In this sense, it was confirmed that the official website and the promotional video will be ready to be launched on 30 September, which will allow a wider dissemination and awareness of the SPRINT project's objectives and progress among the public and stakeholders.

This follow-up meeting not only allowed to review the achievements so far, but also to plan the next steps and to strengthen the cooperation between the partners, ensuring the fulfilment of the objectives set in the framework of this ambitious project.
